Dark shadows in the morning and early and dark nights. Cold is coming and we must prepare. Each day the sun rises and sets still, but it is getting into Autumn, getting colder and so the weather will test our resolve to carry on as usual.

But God I believe is not about carrying on as usual but about challenging our resolve to be like him. He seems to use impossibly hopeless situations to bring good through his will.

But hard questions need to be asked. A hard question this week was “Why did God not help me when I needed Him the most”. I really felt for the person who wrote this. They must be in pain, but I believe, through my observation and experiences of my own life that God can turn any situation around, no matter how badly you think you are stuck.

Exodus 33:14
The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

God will not abandon you, so turn to him today and ask him to lift you out of your bad situations and show you the way forward. Ask him to give you rest from our sinful ways and show you the joy of salvation that leads ahead. Gods presence is his assurance. His Holy Spirit. Seek Him tonight in prayer.

Dear Lord, help all that call upon your name as Lord and saviour. Help those that have bad times and are hurting from their situations. Bring your Spirit down so you are evident here and now, like the cloudy and fiery pillar through the desert.
