You will have to forgive me if I have changed the line of the Psalm just for the title of the post. This afternoon we all went out to get a picture of the sunset and the best picture I got was my daughter Charlotte on the edge of a sand dune about to take off, with a bird just flying by at that moment.
Psalm 104:1-4
O Lord My God, You Are Very Great
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are very great!
You are clothed with splendour and majesty,
covering yourself with light as with a garment,
stretching out the heavens like a tent.
He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters;
he makes the clouds his chariot;
he rides on the wings of the wind;
he makes his messengers winds
his ministers a flaming fire.
Sometimes we go out and we an idea of what we are about to do, but God turns it all around. Let’s be honest who doesn’t get up and have an idea about what they are going to do, but God must be there at the start, and if He is not He usually reminds us about who is in control.
The Psalm clearly talks about God and His wondrous attributes comparing them to nature. But what can be more wonderful – that God made all this planet and all of its incredible nature and beauty for us. He seems to dote on us like a loving Father, that sounds like a crude way of explaining the Father as He is the creator of the whole universe. In Genesis it tells us that God created the heavens and the Earth and all on it, and at the very end He created us to be stewards of it, to care for it, to enjoy it.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Life is for living and we shouldn’t sit around and wait for it to take care of itself. God has planned a great adventure for all of us and if we are listening carefully He will lead us on His paths. Reach out for the life that is out there, God will guide you – if you seek with all your heart.
So today I feel blessed that I have a wonderful family, and I thank God for laying out the plans of my life. You too can have joy in life if you let go of the blockages that are in the way to allow you to let Jesus into your heart.
I pray that the Lord our God shall smile upon us as we walk and live the life He wants us to.
I pray that we listen and see God’s answers and speech through nature and all His mysterious ways.
I pray that you shall be blessed this day and you shall enjoy nature and life to the full.
Amen
With blessings
Graham
