There is an open bridge, welcoming and open. A way for all regardless of what life you have lived, free from judgement now because the tree stands tall. The judgement has fallen on God’s only Son and through Jesus we now have access to this breath of God. I’ve spent a few days gathering fallen branches, with the help of my son we gathered the larger ones up and managed to carry them up the steep hill to the house.
The sermon came; what a difference, it was again about judgement, despite this being about taking the good news out to all, there was not even a mention of the passages read or even an attempt to expand on them – my mind spun with confusion, the preacher seemed angry, annoyed that people could have a different way of thinking!
