Where once I had a cave of mud to pray in, now I have the forest in all it’s splendour. How wonderful is God, and Gracious is God, even when we are against Him. Even when through my actions of selfishness I am denying Him, He still comforts me, when I turn to Him. His Grace knows no bounds, God is boundless.

The sun had risen and I walked quietly through the garden. Stopping at the pond to look at the fish. I crossed the small rickety bridge and opened the gate into the woods. The sun was still low in the sky but from where I was sitting the sun streamed through the leaves of the wild cherries and the elder. I sat and collected my thoughts about the day.

Through lent I have been thinking and trying to cling deeper with God. I look up from my thoughts and a doe deer walks past, lightly springing over tree roots that straddle the path. I think, unless you look, you will never see. God’s presence is here. He is walking through this world with us and is in the beauty everywhere. I can not catch this on my camera, the moment has gone, but God is not on social media, He is here us all today.

Dear Lord, help us to love you and keep your word so that you may dwell with us always. Amen
