I’ve been dwelling on this text today.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:31-32

Sometimes I have long times to wait in silence. Often taking classes that are doing tests. Generally they don’t need watching too closely but within my head, within the closed door of my mind, my private prayer room,

I can dwell on God’s Word.

The worries of this world are many and you could dwell on them everyday wondering how this or that is going to sort itself out. You could dwell on Christ, on Jesus and take your concerns to Him. Talk to Him as He is just standing next to you. We don’t face the world balone, but together and that can make all the difference.

Dear Lord, stay with us all, stand with us all through darkness and through light. Guide us into all truth and give us the power of the Holy Spirit to face the truth, because we know only Your Truth, Jesus the Word can set us free. Amen
