The air was cool with a slight breeze wafting through the trees. The forest was quiet with no sounds from birds and animals now as they bedded down for the night, hiding in their places, waiting. I looked up and the moon was surrounded by a halo, a ring of colours. I prayed, the events of the day were heavy on my heart and I wanted direction in how to respond.
What is exhortation, but to encourage a person in the walk of faith. As I walk through the forest and pray I feel Gods presence. Surely our walk, our daily walk must be to keep this presence near and yet the world drags our minds and emotions into the world, some days more than others.
Church is a struggle, especially lately. How do we present God to families and children that may be hearing about Jesus for the first time. Clearly and simply – as milk to babes as Paul says in his letters.

1 Corinthians 3:2
We need to teach the next generation the basics. We need to believe the bible is the inspired WORD OF GOD. God wants us to teach His Word, but in order to teach it we really need to understand it and believe in it.
Dear Lord, help the church return to your basics, believing in the inspired Word of God and a gospel of repentance for a forgiveness of sins and eternal life through the blood of Jesus Christ.
