As I sat around a camp fire listening to friends talk about good times I was drawn to the passage of the bible Hebrews 10:19

Therefore, brothers and sisters,
since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place
by the blood of Jesus,

I thought about Moses as he would walk some distance from the tribe of Israel and pitch a tent, there God would meet him. This was known as the tent of meeting, the most Holy place, the dwelling place of God. I quickly took a picture to capture this moment.

The tent of meeting

It struck me that perhaps that this is what the tent of meeting will be like when the church is reborn with the return of Jesus our Saviour. All sitting around sharing stories and feeling the warmth from God’s eternal love as a fire in the middle of His people.

To add a thought to this, the letter to the Hebrews was talking about a condition now available, not in the future. We are able to meet with the presence of God and it is as simple as walking into a tent. Seeking the warmth of the presence of God and He will meet with you and call you His child.

Lord help us to continually seek your presence and enter the tent of meeting being refilled with the power of the Holy Spirit daily.
