Run to the cross 25

Legs feel heavy as I run, but that could be because I spent a large part inside the house, or sat down.

As I run, two reflections come to me. Judgment and purpose.

Judgement; It is so easy some days to be led into a judgemental way of thinking. I have to catch my own thoughts and stop them, even if I think I am justified. The reason I have to do this is when you think about who is the only person that knows everything. God, and He is the only true righteous one who can make righteous judgements. We must trust Him.

Purpose; many people today may feel they have lost their purpose, perhaps their job has fallen through because of the global crisis, or perhaps they have never found their purpose but have been stepping from one point to another, never at rest and always busy until silence is all that remains. Ultimately our purpose comes from God and we must trust Him to reveal this to us.

Matthew 7:7–8

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

I saw the small opening in the stone and thought about the tomb, the empty tomb. If it was empty, then it made all the difference. With all the evidence there can be only one verdict. God is risen, He is risen indeed.

Dear Lord, help me to put into action, not only prayer and words but actions to build your kingdom with your guidance. In Jesus name, Amen.
