Run to the cross 24

Out across the park in the biting cold, when earlier the sun had been streaming into the back garden. Running along and in prayer, I spot some children playing in the dark, almost hidden from view.

The end of a strange week in history. Never have schools shut because of an enemy, even in the war schools battled through. But this is an unseen enemy and we must stand in unity with the country and world, not only with following the advise of the leaders but also by praying in the Spirit for the healing of the nations.

One day you may see an empty plant pot, the next month you may see a flower that has wonderfully bright colours, the next the sun comes out and the flower opens and reveals it’s glory. The flower flowered with no effort from me, God provided everything it needed, He stepped in entirely.

John 12:23-24
Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Jesus had to go through that time on the cross, for us, so that He could rise from the dead. We can not have one without the other and He had to ascend so that He could sit down at the side of the Father and send the Holy Spirit.

Dear Lord, forgive us our sins and heal the nations. Bring hope to many that are suffering with loneliness and isolation. Bring us the wisdom and courage to get through this global crisis. In Jesus Name Amen
