Run to the cross 22

The weather eased for an evening and I was able to run calmly through the park praying for each person as I slowly made my way around the circuit of the area I live in.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Sometimes we can not see more than a few steps ahead, sometimes we see a little child and we just hope that they will grow to become beautiful children of God, and sometimes we stumble on the rocks that are in are way. One thing my walk, or run, has taught me is that God is also there every step of the way and He is experiencing all this pain for us. My daughter who is growing, who is sat on the ring in Grizedale in the Lakes is now a teenager and blessed by God but we still want the journey to be painless and full of joy.

The hope of a little child must have felt hopeless to the disciples and in particular Mary when they gazed upon Jesus on the cross, but He knew His Father had not left Him and He would eventually, after all that pain, conquer death.

Dear Lord, fill all your child with hope in these times ad heal the nations through an uprising of prayer and faith for Jesus. Amen.
