Run to the cross 20

Halfway through the runs, it’s almost like routine now. Rain pouring but out I go in the rain, but something is different, the country seems to be closing down. People are starting to show their true colours and I am starting to doubt am I doing enough to help others for God’s kingdom.

A water trough with much hidden under the water. I wonder what this world pandemic will reveal – whether we are truly Sons of God or whether we are just white washed stone.

Luke 24:40–44

When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. 43 And He took it and ate in their presence.

They saw Jesus but where not full of joy so Jesus says to His disciples “have you any food”. Jesus demonstrates eating but I think upon this and I wonder is the message deeper? When you can’t believe with joy perhaps you are not filled with hope and food of love, but you are filled with fear and the concerns of the world.

Jesus says He is the bread of life, but He is so much more, He sustains us – do we need to pray with all our heart and cast all our doubts, fears and complaints upon the cross?

Dear Lord Jesus, feed us with your wisdom and your you love. Help us to draw closer together without any fear of disease. Amen
