Some days the rain is relentless in Britain, it’s a wonder we don’t all live in boats. But despite the rain and wind and cold, I managed to get out and run down to the river and follow that back up for a gentle climb back to home. As I passed some trees my torch shone into the leaves and two large green eyes shined back. It made me think, what am I reflecting? We should be reflecting the image of Jesus outwardly, but do we?
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV):
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
I know I am far from an image of Christ, but I have changed and I am continually changing, but we must stay strong and not be put off by listening to the woes of the world. Jesus knew what woes were being said and he knew of the hate and pain to come, yet he still walked forward and gave himself for all.
Dear Lord, thank you for your love, I pray that you convict our hearts continually to change us to the perfect image of Christ.
Amen
