Run to the cross 6

From the door I ran, and ran like the previous days exhaustion had not been felt, like I had not fallen asleep trying to write a blog. Sleep took the previous night, but now I ran and sprinted wanting to wake the old muscles up to work again and come alive.

Some people look and see dead trees but I see life coming forth against all odds. Against all odds life comes forth, and yet people still ask me as they did today “Do you hear the voice of God”, “Yes” I said, “I want to hear to voice of God”, “You can, you just need to pray.” No tricks, no mirrors, just pray, just get on your knees, or even just lean forward in some act of submission and God will come and speak as He did to me those many years ago. I wonder what they would want God’s voice to say if He did speak to them? I find when I hear His voice, it is a voice of pure life, so why turn away?

Genesis 3:8

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

If you hear the voice of the Lord, will you hide amongst the trees of the garden, or will you run out to Him and embrace Him like a father.

My prayer tonight is for the young man who asked to hear the voice of God, that he hears God’s voice clearly and his life is changed,
in Jesus name,
Amen.
