Hebrews 12:2

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

On a day out to Blackpool Zoo I always enjoy walking through the Lemur walkthrough as you can get up close to the Lemurs. This Lemur was just sat there staring ahead ablivious to the people around him stroking him and taking his photo.

His gaze was fixed. When I reflected through the day on what I think about I tried a little technique to help me focus on Jesus. Everytime I had an unhelpful or even sinful thought, like being judgmental, I just imediately focussed on a story and a phrase from the Gospels. These really help us to combat these thoughts that can do us no good. Are protection against sin is spending time with the Word of God, just like Mary sat at the feet of Jesus listening to every Word.
