Even on some waste grassland, we can see some wonderful examples of fungus erupting with colour. God clearly shows beauty through these fungi and yet, I wasn’t looking for them. They were just there. God works in places that we do not look, He creates beauty where no one can see. Why?
We may be looking for breakthroughs in healing with people we encounter, when He is giving you the grace of having a loving heart to listen, or you may be just listening to someone’s story, when He suddenly heals that person. Why is it that God works that way? Perhaps because our hearts are not aligned with his heart and that He wants us to seek out so much more. He knows there is more to find, He has created it, and he dearly yearns for us to seek out the beauty in the Earth.
Perhaps because our hearts are not aligned with his heart and that He wants us to seek out so much more. He knows there is much more to find, He has created it, and He dearly yearns for us to seek out the beauty in the Earth and in people.
Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
How awesome that he sees us as royalty. The children of God. He values each one of us as His royal children, but we, in turn, can bring more into this blessed family.
He also seems to limit Himself to working through us, not always but for the most of what I can perceive. How mind blowing that a God that created everything can actually limit himself to working through His creation. Not like a dictator, but just like a parent’s fruit blossoms through their children, so the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus love to work through us.
John 5:19
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
Here we see Jesus limited himself to doing the Fathers work and submitting humbly to doing that work. How awesome it must have been to walk with Jesus in that time, but He offers that same gift to each one of us today. We need to align our hearts to God’s will. Such a joyous adventure that will has been at times, but at other times I have completely missed the mark.
There have been days when I have seen the glory of God revealed in nature but completely missed the uniqueness and profound love of God when it is displayed in another person. Despite all these failings we show, God still loves us and works through us. Despite the teenagers coming upon the rehearsal last night and shouting obscenities at me, I still felt compassion that these children are loved by God, but they just do not realise it until we display that love in return for hatred.
Let us walk to with our hearts centered on the Father.
Dear Father, thank you for today,
Lead us to encounter your expressions of love
lead us to display your expressions of love
lead us to become your expressions of love.
Amen
