The picture show’s tonight’s sunset from my window. Deep colours and a dark contrast suggest a deep sense of love and also a sense that God is still watching out for us making the earth beautiful at moments to give us hope.

What hope have we got to look forward to?

We in 2 Peter 3:13 we are told that we are to look forward to not only a new heaven but a new Earth. This seems more as the days pass that this Kingdom we are creating as we live our lives out in righteousness. Whether the Earth will be re-booted or whether God has another plan where we are transported to another, new Earth. Perhaps one of the many that scientists are at this moment looking for. We are to hold to the assurance that we have eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The point we may forget is that we are the solution for this new Earth and a new Heaven. Whether that is reshaping this existing world or working towards a fresh colonisation of another planet.
