Day 362 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’

The rivers have started to return to their normal levels now, and cleanups and repairs have started again around Lancashire and the North.

John 7:38

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’

God guides us every day, and on those days that I decide to listen to him, because I am a stubborn man mostly, it is on these days that I really discover that God does lead and speak his word which is powerful.

Ecclesiastes 1:7

All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow, there they flow again.

But somedays I feel like I am fighting against a river, like I am standing there in the middle. I feel like the thing to do is just sit down and let the river take me, but I am aware that others are trying to battle against this river – which is impossible for in the end the river always wins.

There are many souls who refuse to believe in Jesus and they think that there are many ways to God, like every river runs to the sea, but Christianity is different from many religions in that the key belief is that there is only one way to God and God offers this way to all but if the gift is refused then everyone will have to take their chances to be judged by God the Father.

The joyous news about Christ is that He offers himself freely to all and that Jesus casts our sins away so that the Father will see no sin.

So you see, we simply need to go with the river and not fight against it because God will guide us to safety and peace to live with him for evermore.

Lord, help us all to guide as many to you, help us to declare your truth using words acceptable only to you and we ask that we can do this only in love.

Amen
