Day 355 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,

The last light of the day highlights the clouds and the colours in the sky. I couldn’t tell you how colours are in the sky, possibly to do with the elements the sunlight travels through, but I can sit and look in awe for a few moments that I can.

Isaiah 26:1-4

A Song of Salvation

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

“We have a strong city;
God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps
the truth may enter in.

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,

 To have a sense of awe at everything God is doing in our lives and to dwell on him at every moment. I believe that prayer is more than just words, it is a way of “staying” your mind on the Lord at every moment you can.

We are called to keep our mind on the Lord and if we do then He will reward us. Sometimes it is hard to keep your mind on the Lord, but it seems to make a wondrous difference when I do for I find He then guides me in my tasks.

Dear Lord, thank you for this day and its blessings. Let us walk forward into this week with You completely on our minds.

Amen
