The sunset was full of colour as I just managed to stop in my journey, run to a bridge and take the photo. No complicated cameras, just my phone, but still it captures some of the colours.
On the horizon we can see a tower.
Sometimes in this rush to get everything prepared, or with so many events that go on, I can forget to be humble, and we have to be prepared to hold our hands up and ask for forgiveness for our impatience in this instant fix world.
The amount of houses with “Santa stop here” signs outside is worrying. There seems to be a need for a fight back. Perhaps “Jesus is welcome here” or “Jesus is here” signs, or even more nativity lights.
But when we start to come to the attention of the devil, he will start to lay blocks in our path and will start to attack and we must be prepared.
Preparing with prayer is important, extremely important, but another important factor is having a wall of friends around us that can keep us levelled and on track. That know our weaknesses so they will not deliberately lead us astray, but will be able to lead us faithfully through troubles. These friends are like a tower – they protect and help us to make a stand.

God doesn’t rush his creation, instead He humbly waited to come as a baby boy, spent time growing up and so to deliver the gospel.
“Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.
I had a dream last night. It was that I had just moved out of a trailer and a big car was picking myself and my family up to take us up to the castle. Perhaps it implied that we are royalty – we are all royalty as we are not Christian, Anglican, Catholic, baptist and all the other labels, but we are all “children of God” – how much I wish we would all stop using labels and start loving one another as Jesus asked, did and demonstrated through his life.
When we are so concerned about a topic we should pray and if we are truly moved by it we can be sure God will hear us and the results must be truly remarkable. God will even re-write our stories if we take our concerns to him, after all he extended Hezekiah’s life by fifteen years. God changed his mind.
Lord help us all to be humble in our life, but let us all gain you presence, gain you salvation. Let us pray for the lost so that you can look again at these sheep and bring them back into your fold. Let us lead others to you so that your miraculous kingdom can be brought about and take away your anger with your Son’s sacrifice from God to baby.
