This large tree was on the top of a hill and most of the plants and much rubbish had fallen down into the valley below. The tree is in by the side of an estate in Ribbleton in Preston, Hidden away.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Can our faith be like this tree, unwavering and there being no way that the tree will fall down because the roots are too deep to move it. We too need to be grounded like this.
The trees roots go deep – To help the roots go deeper into Christ we must pray regularly.
When the weather is hard animals and insects run to this tree for cover, like I have run for shelter on days that there is a sudden rain shower – Perhaps we need to run to Christ when times are hard.
The tree is an eco system and helps others – how much more we are called to be eco systems, caring and helping all we can. When are souls are down – do some good and see if this gladdens our souls.
The tree is thankful in a way for the earth, sun and rain – we must be thankful of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Dear Lord, what am I that you should look upon me and think of me. You are an awesome God that has created everything, thank you. Help me to do your will, but to hear this clearly through your many ways.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen
