The subtle colours of the clouds tonight caught my attention, calm in places and threatening in others. Pastoral colours that didn’t have vivd contrasts but still had their beauty. The clouds slowly etched their way across the sky and slowly changed the shapes before me. Insects buzzed around the plants and everything seemed suspended as if waiting.
Some nights I feel I am just crying out to the Lord by writing, and I am, but some other nights it feels painful to write about topics. Some nights I feel like I am praying to no one, but I persevere and other nights I feel like I have cracked it. It is all about perseverance through the hard times, through the blank times that you may feel God is not there.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Like the farmers who have planted their seed in the fields they have to then wait and nurture that seed for it to grow into a healthy plant. The same way we have periods of lulls where nothing may appear to be happening but in reality, in God’s spiritual world there is much happening. There may even be battles taking place to get the prayer that you have said to its conclusion.
12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to manydays yet to come.”

So tarry not tonight looking at more comic threads on Facebook or clicking on distractions on the internet but go now to your room, your corner or just your quiet place and pray to God for with joyful expectation and patience for He will answer your prayers.
Dear Lord, help us all to pray with joyful expectation
Amen
