Driving home more than once I have been gazing at the sunsets and just wanting to stop and gaze at them. They have wonderful colours each night, and some go really deep colours.
Mark 4:38, Luke 5:16, Mathew 26:36-46, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
Jesus seemed to have a full concentration on what was immediate to Him, but with a view of how this relates to his father. He had his long term goals but he was focussed on the now. He would escape to sometimes sleep; Mark 4:38 but mostly he would escape to pray on his own; Luke 5:16
The time he spent alone he was not alone, for it seems He was in communion with the Spirit and the Father. He loved his Father so much that he put the Fathers needs above his own; Matthew 26:36-46
Last night I had a dream about escaping into a cave and climbing to a small part above the chamber where no one could get to and there was the Holy Spirit waiting. We prayed together and spent time together before I returned to the world. God’s power and grace can get us through each day, and we must focus on each day as well as retreat to that place where you can meet with God.
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
None of us are perfect but we each have a part to play in this great adventure, but we must grab it with both hands. We must pray, put our concerns to God, and then take on God’s concerns and the Lord will never fail us. God’s grace is sufficient for any problem, for any difficulty and for any event. There is nothing too big that can not be placed upon God for him to use for his purposes.
Dear Lord, help us all to cast our worries and concerns on you, and in turn let us take on your concerns. Let us offer our bodies as a living sacrifice by living and showing our light through our actions.
Amen
