moon through clouds

Day 181 He is the radiance of the glory of God

The picture shows the full moon reflecting the light from the sun through clouds.

The heat today has been stifling. Do us Britons complain about the weather too much? There has been a glorious hot sunny day and I have only managed to grab a small portion of its heat, warmth and living energy. Tonight there was a wonderful bright sunset which I missed but the moon and night sky made up for the missed event. The sky is ablaze with God’s glory. When we look up and look upon the sky, on the moon, on the stars, do we think “Oh that looks good”, or do we smile and thank God for His wonderful creation that he has handed over to us to manage.

Hebrews 1:3

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

What a wonder verse. He is the radiance of God’s glory; meaning Jesus is the physical radiance of God and the nature of God. When we look upon the stars and the moon and the sun and all of God’s creation, perhaps we should think. This shows God’s glory which is Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord, Let us all be a light for You, let us all radiate your glory through our life of servitude to Your will.

Amen
