A simple photograph taken some years ago when I was on honeymoon in 2003 in Kenya in Africa.
A family of lions are dozing under the sun by a tree that they probably use as a home. As we were gazing at these lions they silently got up and disappeared into the bush. In the distance we could see a mother buffalo and her baby, the baby was rushing towards this direction endangering her life, but the mother could see the danger and smell it and she kept trying to push the little buffalo away but she couldn’t. She didn’t abandon her child, but stayed with her and when the inevitable happened and the lions encircled her and her baby, she fought the lions bravely but in the end she died alongside her child. The mother buffalo sacrificed her life to try and stay and fight for her child even though the odds where nearly hopeless. The bond of love was stronger than the bond of fear.
God will fight for everything in our life if we let him, if we ask him. Family is a strong link, and God will fight for your family if you ask. There are no family of lions that could penetrate God’s armour if you wear it.
Gods bond of love is stronger than death itself, it is permanent.
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If God can be for us, then who can be against us? Simply answered as no one, no thing, not even pharaoh’s army can be against us when God is for us. Take that step tonight and accept Jesus, or pray for a friend to accept Jesus tonight.
Dear Lord Jesus, accept my prayer to bring as many to Jesus who ask you, who need you. Keep our family safe and blessed and let us show your love through our actions.
