you see the river gently flowing forward and it never seems to rest, and yet there are pockets in the river where the water seems to circle back on itself or it slows down.
Rest is good and if you saw yesterday’s post you might have guessed that I was very tired. I spent three days walking with children in the hills around Pendle hill and we explored the rivers and valleys. I am still trying to catch up on my sleep at the moment so tonights post will be short.
Isaiah 58:11
11 The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Even though physically we may feel empty or even abandoned on some days, essentially God never leaves us, we perhaps turn our back on him perhaps for a while but He is still there guiding us, having people pray for us and working us towards He ultimate goal.
Dear Lord let us all rest occasionally from the onslaught of activities and things to plan so that we may focus on your Word, Jesus Christ.
Amen
