tree budding

Day 112 And the dead in Christ will rise

There are wonderful budding trees, and blossoms of every colour. The grass is greener and everything is blooming like this is the height of summer. The days are getting warmer and it cheers the soul.

I started the day asking for the Lord’s Spirit to make itself known in my life. I pray this sort of prayer many times and I didn’t expect Him to make Himself known instantly. We should pray expectantly with a faith that God will answer our prayers, but perhaps not an instant fix.

I almost chuckled at the crosses in the sky as I drove to work.  We are told in the bible not to look for signs in the sky. The time of the Lord is when the dead in Christ will rise. I am really feeling that we are at an epiphany of hatred in the world. Christians are started to awake with there faith. Business owners and others standing up for their faith, politicians speaking out openly.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words…..

Just like the budding earth with flowers blooming. I believe it is time for us as Christians to stand together, all denominations as one family in Christ. The word catholic just means universal, worldwide. So we are all Christians of the world wide church, the universal church. As long as we believe in and follow our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Awake and stand for Christ for now is the time. Do not deny what has been sown in your hearts.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

12 And we urge you, brethren,….

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit.

When I felt like the Spirit was with me during the day I knew all would be well. Too often we try to motivate people with stress and urgency, but the Spirit urges us to motivate, the exhort people with rejoicing, with thanks to God, with love, and with prayer.

Look upon the red sunset tonight and think on the blood spilt by our Lord Jesus on the cross, His sacrifice for our sins. He held himself up on the cross for you and as He was laid in the tomb the people in power thought they had killed Him. But as you plant a seed it springs to life after a little time, and so did our Lord like the sun will rise tomorrow.

Dear Lord, help me to help others to understand the real truth. The truth of salvation offered to as many as will accept it. I pray for those that hear the message and just verbally accept Jesus without connecting their hearts so that they will repent and turn from their sinful ways. I pray that I may also keep from sinning as I was a lowly sinner when you came down and found me alone and in tears from the pain. Send the comforter dear Lord for your people and awake the dead in Christ to be alive.

Amen

with blessings

Graham
