The sunset tonight was a short but extreme affair. It seem to last in its fiery intensity for a short time before it went. How it is just a guess whether the sunset will be wonderfully colourful or whether will just have a quiet lowering.

Hebrews 12:25-29

Hear the Heavenly Voice

25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Sometimes looking at the sunrise gives me a sense of urgency. Many people believe that Jesus’ return is imminent and that we are in the end times. But is that entirely bad?

If we have accepted our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ then we have nothing to fear from the evil one from this earth. Nothing to fear from the defeated one. As our Lord Jesus Christ will always bring us back to His fold. He will always choose to seek the one lost sheep rather than sit comfortably and look over the saved.

But it should cause concern for those which have not accepted Jesus and indeed also in us in love for them. If I read it correctly, many that do not choose Jesus as Lord and saviour will not be saved, they will have to account for their sins in front of the Father perhaps. Followers of Christ will have Jesus as an advocate, so be calm and be at peace.

Should we not double our efforts to use every opportunity to evangelise Christ as the saviour so that we can save many more. Imagine we are in a boat with people packed onto it tight. We should be all holding hands tightly and not letting go so no one falls overboard, for only God only knows what happens then. Be unashamed of our faith in love with God!

It is not a verbal slanging match when someone opposes you for we should always respond in love and truth, but it is a loving embrace to feel their desperation that they must be feeling that no other religion, not Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or any other religion can wipe us clean from our sins by very God himself. Jesus has paid for our sins. He knew we would sin and like a Father to us, as I am responsible for my children and their upbringing God feels responsible for our futures. He wants to give us everlasting life, and it is a joyous, fun life we have install, a roller coaster ride that can be scary but the exit fee has been payed by the Son of God himself. Jesus the Christ, in perfect trinity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Dear Lord allow me to speak with your tongue so that I can speak nothing but the truth in love.
