The pictures shows the rolling hills, and a path leads across the horizon. There are many people who chose to walk up mountains or hills, and that choice may lead to a few wrong turns or even may lead to misfortune if they have an accident, but they are there doing this through choice.
How faith may be similar. We choice to have faith and through faith we trust God to lead us and shape us into good servants, but we are there through choice. But how I wish sometimes I could just reach in and give some faith to someone. Reach into my heart and pull out some substance and give this to someone and then they would have faith. Sadly it is not like that.
God knows us, he designed us. But some people struggle with believing in God because of their life circumstances. They blame God on what has happen to them or others in their life.
God didn’t want robots, or machines and so He had to create humans who had free will and could reason whether something was right or wrong. Unfortunately there are many opinions out there it is hard to here Gods message sometimes. But the Bible has all the wisdom of God within, we just have to read it and discover it. The Bible tells us about the way back to God, through Jesus. The whole bible is this one narrative that leads everyone back to Jesus.
But we have to choose without any compulsion. But when we do – Oh the joy you will experience when you realise that you are special and have been designed for a purpose.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Jesus gave himself for us. It was his decision, as He could have said no I’ll be an earthly king instead but He chose to be tortured and die on a cross, shed his blood, undergo or the trials and insults, all the petty humiliation as He was nailed there, for all to see, nothing to hide.
He is still waiting there but He has risen and His arms are still open wide but waiting for you to embrace Him as your Lord, and saviour. Choose the risen King this Lent and make a change in your life.
Dear Jesus, guide us to live a Holy life with you so that we can change through actions and through love of others.
Amen
with blessings
