scary clouds

Day 61 For the day is near

Hail and wind, flashes and lightening, the soul feels like it’s almost gone,
the feet move forward, one at a time, trying to follow where once they shone.
The eyes look out and heavy now, wondering why the day felt cold,
and the chores and the duties all blur into one, but this one has already been sold.

A day of weather extremes. Lightning, hail, rain, sun, wind, and coldness. The picture shows some wonderful clouds, they look rather scary and just like a painting, but they just show the wonder of God. The awesomeness of His creation that it can have such diversity.

I am sure somedays I don’t prepare properly for the day. I don’t mean with what I am doing but prepare with God, and so I feel somedays I am open to attack. We have to start each day in prayer, but also in affirming our hope that is Jesus Christ and that the truth that He will not abandon us.

I didn’t feel too good today, but I always come to realise that as the poem says in its last line – this one has already been sold. I have been bought by Christ, with His blood and so I am his slave. Somedays I don’t feel like a very good slave but I am trying to listen as best I can and to do His works.

Somedays we feel spiritually and physically worn down and we just need to recharge. Prayer for others recharges our batteries, refills our souls and leads us out of the darkness to the light.

Ezekiel 30:3

For the day is near,
Even the day of the Lord is near;
It will be a day of clouds, the time of the Gentiles.

In times of trouble, pray for God to send people to you, to help. Pray for others that need help. Pray and thank God for all your blessings in all circumstances, pray to God now. For God is near all the time despite sometimes us not being able to experience him.

Lord God, I thank you for leading us through this day, I pray that you refill us with your Holy Spirit and lead us to the light to worship and bask in your Glory, as faithful servants and slaves of Christ Jesus.

Amen

with blessings.
