I thank the Lord for my blessed life in every way and form, and I will admit I do complain about things from time to time. I wanted to give a year (for a start) to the Lord and just see if I could thank him for every day that He brings and governs, and along the way encourage or exhort any others to follow the Lord.

Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of the Lord

1The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above^a proclaims his handiwork.
2Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
3There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
4Their voice^b goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5  which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
6Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Exhortation is to encourage and praise someone to follow the Lord and I shall do my best.

The challenge

I shall endeavour to take a picture of God’s glorious nature, whether that is a sunrise, a sunset, a bird, a flower, or any other of God’s amazing awesome world in its natural state and to use that to write an exhortation to the Lord our God everyday.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
